Product Development & CAD

Your idea, engineered for the real world

A drawing that looks right and a part that works are two different things. We build precision 3D models and production-ready drawings that account for materials, tolerances, and how the part will actually be manufactured.

What this covers

  • Concept development — start from a sketch, a photo, a competitor's product, or a conversation. No CAD file needed. Initial concepts start at $259.
  • Precision 3D CAD modeling — parametric models you own outright, ready for printing, machining, or molding.
  • Reverse engineering — have a worn-out or discontinued part? We measure it and rebuild it as a manufacturable design.
  • Manufacturing-ready drawings — dimensioned, toleranced drawings a shop can quote from without guesswork.
  • Design for manufacturing — we design around the process that will make the part, so it doesn't need an expensive redesign later.

How a design project actually runs

1. The conversation. A free 30-minute call or a quote-form message. You describe the idea; we ask the questions that decide whether it's buildable, what it competes with, and what it has to survive. If the honest answer is "this doesn't need us," you'll hear that too.

2. The concept. A first engineered concept you can look at and react to — geometry, rough size, how it works. This is the $259 entry point, and it exists so you can spend a little to learn a lot before committing to full design.

3. The real model. A parametric CAD model with real wall thicknesses, tolerances, and material choices — designed from day one for the process that will eventually manufacture it, so it never needs the expensive "redesign for production" step.

4. The physical proof. Because prototyping happens in-house, the design gets tested against reality in days: print it, try it, revise it, repeat until it does its job.

5. The handoff — or the next step. You leave with models and dimensioned drawings any shop can quote from. Or skip the handoff entirely and let the same shop take it to production.

Your IP stays yours

Every model, drawing, and file we produce belongs to you — 100%. We're happy to sign an NDA before you tell us anything. Thirty years in this industry taught us that trust is the whole business.

What it costs

Initial concepts start at $259. That's the entry point for taking an idea and turning it into a first engineered concept you can look at and react to.

Past the concept every project is different, so we quote each one individually — but you'll get a real number up front, before any work starts, and we don't bill surprises. Send the idea and we'll respond within one business day.

FAQ

Product development questions, answered

I have an idea but no drawings — can you still help?

Yes, that is how most projects start. Bring a sketch, a photo, a competitor’s product, or just describe it on a call. We turn it into a precision 3D CAD model and manufacturing-ready drawings.

Will my invention idea stay confidential?

Yes. Every model, drawing, and file we produce belongs to you outright, and we are happy to sign an NDA before you tell us anything about the idea.

What does product design cost?

Initial concepts start at $259. From there each project is quoted individually, with a real number up front before any work starts — no surprise billing. Send the idea through our quote form and we respond within one business day.

What do I actually get at the end?

Parametric CAD models you own 100%, plus dimensioned, toleranced drawings any shop can quote from. If you want, we can also print the prototype and handle production ourselves.

Can you reverse-engineer an existing part?

Yes. We measure the worn or discontinued part and rebuild it as a manufacturable design, often fixing the weakness that caused it to fail.

Have a sketch or a part in mind?

Describe it in two sentences and we'll take it from there. Engineer calls available Mon – Fri, 6:00 – 8:00 PM ET.
